PLC is proud to be certified bizSAFE by the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council since June 2015. This accreditation is an important testimony of our management’s emphasis on risk assessment and management in all our undertakings related to workplace safety and health. The establishment of our safety culture will serve to assure our employees and customers alike that our spaces are both safe to work in and enjoyable to shop at respectively.

Achieving the bizSAFE certification is an important step towards excellence in the WSH management system. We have taken the necessary precautions for the health and safety of our customers, staff, and pets. We have stepped up the cleaning of our stores, warehouses, and delivery lines in adherence to the health and hygiene standards set by national and international authorities. In a time of a global pandemic, your safety is our top priority.

PLC is proud to have earned the Progressive Wage (PW) Mark accreditation in April 2023. The Progressive Wage (PW) Mark accreditation recognises firms that pay progressive wages to lower-wage workers. This is a strong demonstration of the commitment by PLC’s management in support of the national effort to uplift and better the lives of our lower-wage workers.

Being accreditated with the PW Mark is the first step in PLC’s resolve to earn the PW Mark Plus, which recognises employers who have adopted the Tripartite Standard on Advancing the Well-Being of Lower-Wage Workers (TS-LWW). PLC will continue to champion the adoption of progressive workplace practices to provide better workplace support for our lower-wage workers in the areas of training and career development, workplace safety and health, and rest area provision. Through these measures, PLC aims to build a strong, progressive team that will grow together as a company.

The Human Capital Partnership (HCP) Mark is a Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) initiative that brings together a community of exemplary employers in Singapore who are employers of choice with progressive employment practices in their organisations and are committed to developing their human capital.

The Tripartite Standards mark is a Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) initiative that identifies and recognises employers who have implemented fair and progressive employment practices towards building a better workplace for all employees. The Tripartite Standards recognises Pet Lovers Centre as an Employer of Choice.
